Author's point of view is the author's attitude or position on a topic
Author's give reasons and evidence to support their points.
Ask yourself: "What is the author's attitude about this? What clues in the text reveal this attitude?"
Vocabulary Strategy:
Synonyms and Antonyms
Context clues help you determine the meanings of unknown words.
Synonyms have a similar meaning to the unknown word. (Example: gigantic/huge)
Antonyms have the opposite meaning. (Example: gigantic/ tiny)
