Morning Announcements 5/25/2021


Good morning everyone. Here are your morning announcements for Tuesday, May 25, 2021.

 

Coach Smith - There will be a golf meeting today at 11:00 am for anyone interested in grades 8-11. This meeting will be in Mr. Grigsby’s room. That is room 126.

 

Tomorrow, student drivers will need to leave the football field side of the parking lot open. You will need to park on the same side as school staff. 

 

A reminder that today’s schedule will be block scheduling. Today will be odd periods. 

 

Mr. Wallace - Congratulations to the April 2021 Students of the Month:

Morning Announcements 5/24/2021


Good morning everyone. Here are your morning announcements for Monday, May 24, 2021.

 

A reminder that today’s schedule will be block scheduling. Today will be  the even periods. 

 

On Wednesday, student drivers will need to leave the football field side of the parking lot open. You will need to park on the same side as school staff.

 

Girls Track - The girls track team placed 10th at the District Meet on Saturday. Congratulations to Daisy Barnes, Allisen Jones, Macy Jones, Sierra Mitten and Zaydah McNeal as they advance to the Regional Meet on Wednesday.

 

Boys Track - The boys track team finished 5th at the District Track Meet. The 4x200 team of Parker George, Jake Lenox, Aaron Evans and Connor Smith were District Champs and advanced to the Regionals. Jacob Lenox was also a District Champion in the 110M Hurdles. Also advancing to the Regionals are Ethan Redman, Ethan Carroll, Wesley Stewart and Brice Coleman. 

 

 

Mr. Wallace - If any High School student who is anticipating failing a class would like information about doing credit recovery this summer, please speak with Mr. Wallace.

Good morning everyone. Here are your morning announcements for Thursday, May 20, 2021.

 

This announcement is for all students. We still have a few days of school remaining in the school year. Rules and expectations still apply over the next two weeks. A failure to comply could result in disciplinary actions. You have done a great job so far this year. We need just a few more successful days then we can enjoy summer break.

 

Coach Hice - There will be a meeting at 11am for any girl in grades 8-11 interested in playing basketball next year. The meeting will be held in room Ms. Dresbach’s room, room 136.

 

 

Mr. Wallace - If any High School student who is anticipating failing a class would like information about doing credit recovery this summer, please speak with Mr. Wallace.

Morning Announcements 5/18/2021


Good morning everyone. Here are your morning announcements for Tuesday, May 18, 2021.

 

Bible Study will be in Mr. Grim’s room during High School Lunch.

 

Mrs. Preston - Congratulations to the 2021 Math 24 team this year.  The winners include:

4th grade tie for 1st Sam Smith and Landon Pachacek with 17 points 

5th grade Gabriel Oates with 26 points

6th grade Landon Smith with 34 points

7th grade Shawna Stotridge with 44 points

8th grade Will Skeens with 54 points

9th grade tie for 1st Gabby Pernell and Jessie Higley with 33 points 

Mrs. Preston would also like to thank all of the teachers for their corporation, all the students that participated, and the high school helpers for supporting this different Math 24 competition.

Morning Announcements 5/17/2021


Good morning everyone. Here are your morning announcements for Monday, May 17, 2021.

 

Trina Owings - Physicals for athletes and band members will be provided by Adena Health System on Wednesday, May 19 at 8:30 am. These are offered to students in grades 8-11. Packets may be picked up in the high school office. Please bring completed forms with signatures that day. 

 

High School Student Council applications are now available at the front office for the 2021-2022 school year. Applications are due back to Mrs. Pugh in room 124 no later than noon, Thursday, May 20th. 

 

This announcement is for all students. We still have 9 days of school remaining in the school year. Rules and expectations still apply over the next two weeks. A failure to comply could result in disciplinary actions. You have done a great job so far this year. We need 9 more successful days then we can enjoy summer break. 

 

Coach Deal - Any boy in grades 8-11 interested in playing basketball next year please stop in at Mr. Deals classroom after announcements for a quick meeting.

At Friday’s SVC finals southeastern men’s track had 10 athletes place.

 

Jake Lenox 2nd in the 110 hurdles,  2nd in long jump and 6th in the 300m hurdles

 

Connor Smith 6th in the 100m dash, 7th in the 200m hurdles and 5th in long jump

 

Brice Coleman 7th in the 100m dash

 

Aaron Evans 8th in the 400m dash

 

Ashton Allman 5th in high jump

 

Ethan Redman 3rd in Pole Vole

 

Ethan Carroll tied for 6th in Pole 

 

4x1 relay (Brice Coleman, Wes Stewart, Parker George and Aaron Evans) 3rd place

 

4x4 relay (Brice Coleman, Landon Coonrod, Parker George and Aaron Evans) 6th place

 

4x2 relay (Parker George, Jake Lenox, Aaron Evans and Connor Smith) took 1st place in the SVC 

 

Congratulations and good luck to the boys track team in districts today at Nelsonville-York

 

Coach Blair - This week the weight room will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday After school until 4:30pm.

 

 

Mr. Donahue - The Jr. High Band and Choir will be having their annual Spring Music Concert tonight at 6:00 PM in the Cafeteria. Seating is limited, but a livestream of the concert will be available on the Southeastern Video Journalism website.
